One of the many traditions Lovejoy ISD holds dear is our Lovejoy Letter Campaign. The week before Thanksgiving, our staff receives handwritten notes of appreciation from our community—nothing elaborate, just simple, heartfelt reminders of the impact they make each day.

Congratulations to Puster Elementary—this year’s TOP Caring Coins donor across all Lovejoy and Allen schools!
Our students raised enough coins to provide over 520 meals for our community. Third grade led the way and celebrated with a fun popsicle party!

Our third graders have been reading Balloons Over Broadway by Melissa Sweet and exploring the history of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. This week, they're imagining and designing their own parade balloons and writing about why their creations should be included in the lineup. Now those ideas are coming to life as students build their balloons and host their very own class parade.

Our school-wide morning meetings have been especially meaningful this week as we honor Veterans Day.
Today, we read America’s White Table by Margot Theis Raven and reflected on its powerful symbolism. Our atrium features a white table display to give students a visual connection to the story and the sacrifices it represents. We can't wait to welcome our own Veterans next week.
What a wonderful evening at Family Fun Night! A huge thank you to our amazing PTO volunteers and families who made it all possible. We love celebrating together and creating memories that make Puster the special place it is!
A big thank you to Mr. Knight for our enrichment activity today! We got to experiment with light to see which material would shine through or block it completely. We even added some new science words to our vocabulary: opaque, translucent, and transparent. Learning really does light up our day!
