Lovejoy ISD is proud to announce Chrissy Wagner as the new principal of Puster Elementary School.
Mrs. Wagner currently serves as the principal of Bethel Manor Elementary School in Yorktown, Virginia, a role she has held for the past six years. She brings with her 17 years of experience in education, having served as a teacher, instructional specialist, assistant principal, and principal.
Under her leadership, Bethel Manor was recognized as a 2024 National Blue Ribbon School for its strong academic performance, high-quality instruction, and engaging educational experiences—including a robust STEM curriculum. Bethel Manor is also ranked #31 out of 1,037 elementary schools in Virginia by U.S. News & World Report.
"We are thrilled to welcome Ms. Wagner to Lovejoy ISD. We believe her vision, leadership experiences, and achievements will be invaluable in the continuation of fostering a positive and thriving learning environment at Puster Elementary," stated Superintendent Kordel.
Mrs. Wagner holds a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Houston-Victoria and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Old Dominion University.
A native Texan from Katy, Mrs. Wagner is thrilled to be returning home and joining the Lovejoy community. Her sister lives in Lucas, and she is especially excited that her niece will be attending Hart Elementary next year.
Mrs. Wagner and her husband, Derek, have been married for 19 years and have two children—Lexi (15) and Ben (10). She is eager to bring her passion for student success, collaboration, and innovation to Puster Elementary School.
