The mission of the Lovejoy Library Media Program is to ensure that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information by empowering students to be critical thinkers, enthusiastic readers, skillful researchers, and ethical users of information who actively contribute to the world in positive ways.
Welcome to the Puster Library!
Students often walk into the library and say, "You've changed it again!" Our library is a dynamic space, and we work hard to be responsive to the needs of our students. Over the summer, we made significant changes to the layout, moved furniture, grouped books by genre, added a comfortable seating area for independent reading, brought in shelves to feature new books, and more. Every change we make is with learning in mind.
Our library has transitioned to a learning commons model. This means that the space is a hub for learning in our school. While books are at the heart of what we do, we can also support our community with many digital resources. We have computer stations for research, or you can bring in a device from the classroom. It is also important to communicate and collaborate while learning. Consider using our flexible spaces to meet with a team or group for a special project. Or, if you just need a quiet space without distraction, take a seat in "The Zone".
Our Makerspace is now in full swing. We have a webpage dedicated to the happenings there. Check the sidebar. You can also follow us on Instagram @pustermakerspace.
Have you been in to meet George and Agatha? Our library pets enjoy being around kids, and we are working on teaching them to read...
Check back often for updates on our library events and programs.
