Welcome to 3rd grade! I am so excited to be a member of the Puster Elementary family! This will be my eleventh year of teaching. I graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations, and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. I attended Saint Leo University for my graduate studies and I have a Master’s Degree in educational leadership. I am certified in Elementary Education, Gifted & Talented, as well as ESL. I have experience teaching K, 1, 2 &3, and I have also served as a district gifted coordinator.
This was a very exciting summer for our family as we relocated from Land O’ Lakes, Florida to Texas! I am originally from Texas, and we are so excited to be home and closer to family! My husband is also a teacher, and we have two daughters that will be attending Puster! Amelia will be entering Kindergarten, and Ainsley will be entering 4th grade! They are super excited to be Leopards! We have two Labradoodles that we adore! Duncan is two years old and Hamilton is ten months old. We also have a red legged tortoise named Elphaba. We love spending time as a family, being outdoors, family game nights, and we especially love watching hockey!
I truly believe that being a teacher is the best career in the world! It is such a privilege and an honor to become a part of each student’s educational journey and I look forward to working with all my learners and their families. I believe that positive relationships are essential to positive outcomes and I look forward to getting to working to create meaningful, supportive, partnerships. It is my goal to create a safe, positive, nurturing environment in which students feel supported to take risk as learners and stretch and grow to their fullest potential!
I am looking forward to what I know will be an amazing school year!
