This is my second year at Puster Elementary, but I have been with Lovejoy for 11 years working with our youngest Leopards at our Employee Child Development Program located at Hart Elementary. I have taught Pre-K for 7 years and served in an administrative role for 4 years. I am passionate about Early Childhood Education and I am very excited to be in the classroom! In addition to teaching Pre-K, I am the Puster Pre-K Director, meaning I oversee the TX State licensing requirements for the program.
I have a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education and hold a Texas Teaching Certificate EC-6. My Bachelor's degree is from Dallas Baptist University where I majored in Interdisciplinary Studies with concentrations in Business Administration and Christian Ministry. I have begun doctoral studies through Liberty University and am an adjunct professor in the Child Development Department at Collin College.
My husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary in March. Originally from New York, Texas has been our home for the past 15 years. We enjoy gardening, cooking and watching movies together. We have four children: Joshua who lives in Oregon; Mikey is studying business leadership at Texas A&M; Lily is a full-time Nanny for a family in Nebraska; and Jacob is a Junior at Lovejoy HS. We also have two fur babies (Sadie and Maebelle) and four chickens (Lucy, Ethel, Fiona and Aretha).
