I am very much looking forward to teaching my 11th year in Texas at Puster Elementary! Teaching is a passion in my life. Therefore, I'm proud to be teaching GT Math and GT ELAR for the 2018/2019 school year. I am dedicated to high quality education that is engaging and fun! My classroom is a place of cooperative learning, and I encourage students to attain their highest academic potential.
I have a diverse background in teaching. I've taught kindergarten and second grade; however, the majority of my teaching years have been spent teaching fourth grade. In addition to teaching in a grade level classroom, I've also been an Intervention Specialist for kindergarten through fifth grade. Last year, I taught 4th ELAR at Puster, and it was an incredible experience getting to know families in the community! I adore education, so I sought out furthering my own education after school hours. My Master's Degree of Education Administration was completed in May of 2017 through Sam Houston State University.
My husband and I moved back home last year. He recently transitioned from being an active duty Naval Aviator to a commercial pilot. When we started to contemplate where we would live after the Navy, we immediately knew this area would be our 'forever' destination. We enjoy passionately serving our community, and we're overjoyed to be a part of Lovejoy.
I know this school year will be an exciting one at Puster! I'm inspired to provide exemplary educational opportunities for all my students. Communicating with students and families is a personal joy! So, please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or simply want to chat.
