I moved to this area six years ago with my husband Chad and my son Graham. My husband's career as a college football coach and now as a high school coach has afforded us opportunities to experience life on the go. We couldn't be more happy to have found this area as our landing spot to grow some roots and stay awhile. Our son, Graham will be a 4th grader at Puster this year. He loves baseball and is certain he will be drafted to the MLB (the modesty of a 9 year old!). Chad took a new position this year as the Defensive Coordinator at Garland High School. Garland went 1-9 last year so...nowhere to go but up this season!
My background in education began where I grew up in Missouri. I received my BS in Elementary and Early Childhood education from the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg. The following year, I obtained my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Missouri - Columbia. I added a Principal's Certificate four years ago.
I am currently entering my 18th year as an educator and my 7th year in Lovejoy ISD. I spent four years teaching at Hart Elementary and will be serving my third year as Assistant Principal at Puster. Previously, I have taught grades K-3 and have served in other roles outside of the classroom: Literacy Coach/Interventionist, Instructional Specialist/Interventionist and RtI Facilitator/Interventionist.
There is not a moment that goes by that I take for granted the wonderful place where I get to work every day and the wonderful families who make Puster Elementary the BEST place to teach and grow and raise our children.
