Teaching has always been my passion.
After staying home with my own children for 10 years, I began teaching at Lovejoy Elementary in 2004. Since 2013 I have been teaching K-2 G/T at Puster Elementary as well as 1st Grade G/T at Lovejoy. I love to see the wonder children experience when exploring their world! My dual degree is in Elementary Education and Guidance Studies. I also completed Introductory International Baccalaureate certification and GT Certification.
Lovejoy ISD holds a special place in my heart! Both my children were in the G/T program at Lovejoy beginning in elementary. My son, Jake, graduated from Texas A & M University and is working as an engineer in Denver and my daughter, Ginger, graduated from University of Missouri (Mizzou) studying journalism and is living and working in Brussels, Belgium.
My husband, Lou, is a recruiter and teaches tennis. We have been married 28 years. I grew up in Tyler, TX and am the youngest of six kids. In my spare time I love traveling! As you can imagine, Europe and Colorado have been our most frequent destinations recently. However, I love visiting anywhere in the good ol' USA and have visited South America and Africa as well. I also enjoy biking, hiking and reading but I treasure spending time with my family most of all.
