This year will be my 22nd year of teaching and I am thrilled that it will be at Puster Elementary teaching 3rd grade math and science! I taught two years at Lovejoy Elementary teaching 1st grade and prior to that taught 2nd grade for five years in Arizona. My husband, Jonathan, and I moved to Lucas about seventeen years ago. We have been married for almost fifteen years and we have two daughters, Nora, who is nine and Paige who is six. Nora will be in 4th grade at Puster and Paige will be in 1st grade. The both swim competitively and love to ski. Nora also plays basketball and Paige does gymnastics.
In 2004, I received my Masters Degree in Administration and Supervision from Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ. Prior to Arizona State, I went to The University of Massachusetts, Amherst where I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and Sociology. I was a collegiate athlete (swam) in college for all four years. Athletics is a big part of my life!
Before college I lived with my family in Buffalo, New York. Almost all of my extended family still lives there and we go visit them multiple times a year. I have two sisters, one older and one younger.
When not teaching, I really enjoy traveling, watching sports, reading and swimming. My husband and I get to travel a lot due to the fact that our families live all over the world. Our daughters have become great travelers! We also LOVE football. Nora and I love the Buffalo Bills (not very popular here in Cowboy country). My husband cheers for Ohio State (his alma mater) and the Cleveland Browns. In the fall, we watch games all weekend long!
I am very excited to continue to be a part of the Puster team. It is a great place to be! It is going to be a wonderful year!
