I love teaching kindergarten at Puster! I began teaching for Lovejoy ISD in 2015. I taught 14 years in Arlington, mostly in kindergarten and first grade, with some time in 3rd grade and as a Special Education aide. I love teaching students to become great readers, writers, mathematicians, scientists, and citizens. Our classroom is a comfortable and friendly place where everyone can enjoy learning and trying new things.
My husband I have been married 28 years and enjoy dancing, scuba diving, traveling, gardening, reading, and being outdoors. Our oldest son and his wife are UT Arlington grads. They live in Japan, teaching English with the JET program. Our youngest son is a UT Austin grad and works at Price Waterhouse Cooper. We have a dog and two cats.
My master's degree is from UT Arlington and I have certifications for Reading Specialist, Gifted/Talented, ESL, and Master Reading Teacher. My Bachelor's degree is from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri where I majored in missions, Bible, and children's ministries. I love learning and hope to pass that passion on to all my students.
