Welcome to Puster Elementary! My name is Amy Matteucci, and I am blessed with the opportunity to work with the best team and the most amazing students every day. This is my ninth year in education, and my third year here at Puster. I graduated with a dual degree in EC-4 Education and EC-12 Special Education from Texas Tech University in 2006. Since then, I have had the opportunity to gain a wealth of experience in Special Education, from teaching PPCD, to elementary Life Skills and Resource. I have even had the wonderful experience of teaching our littlest Leopards at Puster in the Little Lovejoy Scholars program.
My husband, Mike, and I have been married for almost 15 years. We enjoy traveling, exploring new areas, cooking, and spending time together as a family. We are blessed with two absolutely amazing children. My son's name is Gabe, and he is going into third grade. My daughter, Ava, is 5 and starting Kindergarten. Both of them are going to be at Puster with me this year and I could not be more thrilled. In my spare time, I can often be found reading, watching movies, or playing with my two golden retrievers, Coco and Bella.
Teaching is 100% my passion. I believe that every child can learn, and it is my job to help them achieve their goals. I am excited to partner with each of you to ensure a successful, challenging and fun year for each of your children.
