A Bit about Me

I am thrilled to begin my 23rd year with Lovejoy ISD and my second at Puster Elementary!  I grew up in Minnesota with my parents and seven siblings and earned my degree from St. Cloud State University.  I taught in a private Montessori school for four years prior to moving to Texas in 2000. My husband and I live in Van Alstyne and are parents to two fantastic children.  Ally is a 2020 graduate of Lovejoy High School and Jonah is a 2021 graduate of Lovejoy High School.  I am an avid walker and an audiobook enthusiast.  I love to do craft projects, try to keep my flowers alive, and shop online.  My family and I enjoy fishing, traveling, and spending lots of time with extended family.  

 

I am passionate about building warm, positive, respectful relationships with my students.  Each year has brought new challenges, new joys, and new opportunities for me to grow as a teacher.  I am blessed to do what I love.
