Hello Puster Families!
I am so excited to be teaching 3rd Grade again at Puster this year!
I currently live in Lucas, Texas with my husband and our four boys. My family relocated from Downers Grove, Illinois in 2016 to Allen and we joined the Lovejoy family during the 2017 school year. My oldest son, Michael, is headed to Oklahoma University this fall. Joseph, attends Lovejoy High School and is a senior. Patrick is a freshman at Lovejoy High School, and Owen will be in sixth grade at Sloan Creek. All my boys are involved in athletics, football, baseball, basketball, and track, so we spend an enormous amount of time at the athletic facilities cheering them on. I look forward to seeing all the Puster families out and about in the neighborhood from time to time!
I earned my Bachelor in Education and Benedictine University in Lisle, IL and shortly after graduation pursued a Masters in Education in Curriculum and Instruction at National Louis University in Wheaton, IL. I was fortunate to start my teaching journey right out of college. I have nine years of experience teaching Kindergarten, First Grade, and Second Grade. I then took time off from teaching to raise our boys. I have been at Puster for the last four years. In 2019 I was the campus math interventionist. I have also taught second grade and two years of third grade math and science.
I believe that my educational background and experiences in education and as a teacher, have instilled in me qualities that an outstanding teacher should possess. A big reason I love my job is helping my students realize they are unique and bringing wonderful qualities to the classroom family and world around them. My goal for each student is for them to grow and build upon their sense of self, their knowledge and continue to love learning. I have a love for children and I realize how important it is to work with both the student and the student’s families for greater success. I am looking forward to partnering with you and your child to provide a wonderful year socially, emotionally, and academically this year at Puster.
