This is my first year to be working full time at Puster Elementary. I am so excited to get to work in the library!!!  The library is a perfect combo of my favorite things. I love to work with children and I love to read! Both Mrs. Smithwick and I will work hard to ensure that your child has a positive experience whenever they visit the library!  There are so many enriching things to do in the library. It is not only a place to browse for a good book, but also a great place where they can relax and read, participate in Makerspace, read with therapy dogs and find the support they need to grow and learn.  It is because of this, that we believe the library is truly a place of possibilities!

A little about me… I have been a Puster parent for the past six years. This year I will have a freshman at Lovejoy High School, a fifth grader at Sloan Creek Intermediate and a 3rd grader at Puster. We live in Fairview and love our community!   I have been married to my wonderful husband for sixteen years. We have three dogs, a poodle named JR, a rescue chihuahua named Sissi and a rescue poodle named Sophie. Some of the Puster children may know Sophie from the time she spends as a therapy dog in the Puster library. She really enjoys reading with the children.

I grew up in Dallas and graduated from J.J. Pearce High School in Richardson, Texas.  I earned two Bachelor’s Degrees at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, one in Psychology and one in Public Affairs and Corporate Communications.  I went on to earn my Masters Degree in Communication from the University of North Texas in Denton.

I enjoy all things that have to do with my family!  Most of the time my husband and I spend our down time following our kids and watching them do the things that they love!  My favorite things are my family, our pets, basketball, volleyball, soccer, reading and unsweetened iced tea.
