My name is Jennifer Hollingsead and this is my first year at Puster AND in Texas! I was born and raised in Central Illinois - I'm a Midwest girl at heart. My family has spent the past 12 years in Bloomington/Normal, Illinois; my husband, Sean, working as the cyber security director at State Farm Insurance and myself as an administrative assistant at Parkside Elementary in the McLean County Unit 5 school district. State Farm brought our family to Texas in November 2016, where Sean is now also the on-site tech director for their Richardson Cityline offices. We settled down in McKinney and are loving exploring the DFW area.
We have two children - Kate, who is 19 and a sophomore at Southern Illinois University - Carbondale, and Colin, who 13 and starting 7th grade in Frisco ISD. Kate is currently pursuing her early childhood education degree, with plans of teaching kindergarten in the future, and Colin is busying playing cello and wants to get involved with theater production this year in junior high. As a family, we love to travel, watch movies, play with our dogs Scout and Stormie, and we are all avid readers with a passion for great books.
I am currently attending Arizona State University online, finishing my bachelor's degree in sociology, and, of course, starting my new job here at Puster Elementary library. I'm very excited to work with the students to foster a love of reading and technology, and to watch them learn and grow during their time here!
