This is my first year at Puster Elementary, but I have been with Lovejoy for 10 years working with our youngest Leopards at our Employee Child Development Program located at Hart Elementary. I have taught Pre-K for 6 years and served in an administrative role for 4 years. I am passionate about Early Childhood Education and I am very excited to be back in the classroom! In addition to teaching Pre-K, I am the Puster Pre-K Director, meaning I oversee the TX State licensing requirements for the program.
I have a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education and hold a Texas Teaching Certificate EC-6. My Bachelor's degree is from Dallas Baptist University where I majored in Interdisciplinary Studies with concentrations in Business Administration and Christian Ministry. I have begun doctoral studies through Liberty University and am an adjunct professor in the Child Development Department at Collin College.
My husband and I will celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary in March. Originally from New York, Texas has been our home for the past 14 years. We enjoy gardening, cooking and watching movies together. We have four children: Joshua is a soldier in the US Army; Mikey is studying business management at Texas A&M; Lily will be attending Collin College this year with a focus on education; and Jacob is a Sophomore at Lovejoy HS. We also have two fur babies: Sadie is a 10 month old border collie/black lab mix and Maebelle is a 5 month old white lab.
