Aimee Brookshire

My name is Aimee Brookshire and I am overjoyed to again be a part of Puster Elementary's amazing 4th grade team!

This is my second year in Lovejoy ISD teaching at Puster as a 4th grade science teacher! I am beyond thrilled to be starting my second year here where the students, parents and staff go above and beyond every single day. Before coming to Lovejoy, I spent several years teaching in Richardson ISD where I was teaching 7th and 8th grade science and reading intervention.

I am a graduate of Texas Woman’s University and hold a Bachelor of Science with minors in both Interdisciplinary Studies and Biology. I am also in the process of completing my Masters in Biological Sciences from Texas A&M Commerce.

My husband, Paul is an Allen High School graduate and lived in Lucas not too far away from the Lucas Food Store. After we married, he convinced me that moving to Allen/Lucas area was the perfect place to raise our family. He was right! We have lived in Allen for 12 years now and we love it here! Paul and I have been married for almost 15 years now and we have three awesome kids! Hannah is our fun-loving, spunky, vivacious newly turned 14 year old who is starting her 8th grade year at Willow Springs! She plays the bass, guitar, piano and sings like an angel! Paul V is our little ball of energy, future athletic star, caring boy who is almost 6 and is in the stage where he questions everything! Future scientist? He will be attending Puster Elementary this year as a kindergartener! He is so excited to be on campus with mommy! Harrison is 4 and he is sweet, sensitive, full of love and wants to do everything his big brother is doing! He will be in the Pre-k program here in Lovejoy and joining his brother and I next year at Puster! I can't wait to have both of my boys on campus with me each day! We love spending time with our kids, traveling the world, experiencing different cultures and being actively involved in our church community at Creekwood UMC, here in Lucas.

As a teacher, it is my job to foster an environment of joy, creative expression and continuous building onto what they know and what they will learn in my class. This being the intrinsic motivation that will help drive the remainder of their educational journey. It is going to be an amazing year with a lot of new discoveries and meaningful experiences! I cannot wait to share this year’s journey with your children.

“It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge” -Albert Einstein
